The work contains hypnagogic imagery — embedded secondary images, phantom figures, and forms emerging from within the scene.

Neuroaesthetic markers identified: phantom figures embedded in luminous cloud mass above silhouetted figures; self-luminous forms radiating from central vortex; chimeric fusion of human/animal/atmospheric forms; figure-ground collapse where hallucination bleeds into reflected ground plane

These markers are not deliberate artistic techniques but direct visual recordings of what REM intrusion hallucinations look like. The imagery emerges from neurological experience, not metaphor. Ryan has painted over 2,000 works, with over 1,000 originals sold. Each painting in this collection has been subjected to neuroaesthetic forensic analysis to identify and catalogue the perceptual phenomena present.

Seen through a wooden frame, the painting shows two dark silhouetted figures — one larger, one small enough to read as a child — standing at the bottom centre of a predominantly dark field. Above them, the sky is active with colour: green sweeps at upper left, a central mass of orange and warm yellow suggesting a rising sun or large atmospheric form, deep blue in the lower zones. The central luminous mass has a bilaterally suggestive quality — its warm tones describe something simultaneously meteorological and figurative, with the organic weight of a large face or creature pressing downward over the small pair below. The reflective ground at the base carries faint echoes of the colour above.

These are not hand-signed versions and come direct from Ryan Louder's preferred printer.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0784/4246/3577/files/d5863067bad64966b5eb19f946b2b69c_opt.jpg?v=1777841397
dog-in-the-park-on-a-summers-day-by-ryan-louder
Dog in the Park on a Summers Day by Ryan Louder - Hahnemühle German Etching Fine Art Print

Welcome to my London studio!

I'm excited to offer museum-quality Hahnemühle fine art prints of my original oil paintings—professionally printed on premium German paper that brings my artwork to life with stunning clarity and depth.

About Hahnemühle German Etching Paper:

Your print arrives on heavyweight fine art paper with a luxurious velvety matte finish.

A small study in which two silhouetted figures — one adult, one small animal — stand at the lower centre, almost entirely absorbed by a surrounding environment of pink-red painterly marks. The sky is the dominant element: an enormous mass of vertical dripping white strokes against a deep pink-red field, built up densely at the top and thinning toward the figures. Dark marks at upper left suggest treetops. A pale wash on the ground below echoes the figures in reflection. The scale of the atmospheric event — occupying perhaps four-fifths of the picture plane — reduces the figures to near-invisibility, a dark notation at the base of something overwhelming.

These are not hand-signed versions and come direct from Ryan Louder's preferred printer.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0784/4246/3577/files/d2f39d19b50746159047b658927b757c_opt_5207435a-90c4-4702-b7ba-beaa31cd7a50.jpg?v=1777841730
dog-walk-kids-5x7-by-ryan-louder-hahnemuhle-german-etching-fine-art-print
Dog Walk Kids 5x7 by Ryan Louder - Hahnemühle German Etching Fine Art Print

Welcome to my London studio!

I'm excited to offer museum-quality Hahnemühle fine art prints of my original oil paintings—professionally printed on premium German paper that brings my artwork to life with stunning clarity and depth.

About Hahnemühle German Etching Paper:

Your print arrives on heavyweight fine art paper with a luxurious velvety matte finish.
