A Day At The Beach is an original oil painting on canvas board, 22.9 x 30.5 cm (9 x 12 inches), by London artist Ryan Louder.
Four figures share one body of paint. A bearded face at the top is the most resolved, below it a second white face floats half finished, an arm appears with nothing to connect to, and the whole column stands in deep magenta plum, teal green and earth brown with white edges that keep receding before they can hold a person.
This is how overlapping presences actually arrive to me, several people occupying the same space at once, identities not yet settled. Small painting, crowded world.
Oil painting on canvas board, painted in my London studio. Carefully packaged and dispatched with a tracked courier. Any questions, just ask.
