Original oil painting on canvas by London artist Ryan Louder — an atmospheric contemporary figurative piece from 2018 exploring music, movement, and silence across deep teal, cobalt, and indigo tones. Figures emerge and dissolve in fluid strokes of blue and white, centered around a pianist at an upright piano and a cellist lost in performance. Part of his REM intrusion collection.

Music and painting come from the same space for me. In this piece, the ensemble is stripped of warmth and social distraction, leaving pure structural sound translated into pigment. The soft edges and floating figures reflect my neurological condition — narcolepsy with REM intrusion, clinically diagnosed at Guy's Hospital in London. Dream visuals and waking reality bleed together naturally, giving the composition its ethereal, submerged quality.
Carefully packaged and dispatched fully insured from my London studio. One of one — when it's gone, it's gone.
