Chickens is an original oil painting on canvas, 58 x 43 cm, painted in 2020 by London artist Ryan Louder — three farmyard birds caught loose and alive, bold expressive brushwork holding the head-bobbing, never-stand-still energy of the yard.
Warm earthy tones with confident impasto you can feel from the side of the room. Painted with no sketch or plan — the birds arrive as the paint lands. Ryan's narcolepsy with REM intrusion, clinically confirmed at Guy's Hospital in London, is why his work keeps this charged, caught-in-the-moment quality.
At 58 x 43 cm this original sits comfortably in a kitchen, hallway or country cottage interior, and pairs well with his other farm and bird paintings. One of one, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, carefully packaged and dispatched fully insured with a tracked courier.
