Comfort (original sold) by Ryan Louder - Hahnemühle German Etching Fine Art Print

Neuroaesthetic Signal Analysis
Signal rating: 4/10
Classification: hypnopompic
Markers: boundary dissolution (limbs bleed into surrounding ground); figure-ground collapse (pale skin tones indistinguishable from background); identity fragmentation (face obliterated, replaced by dark smear)

In hypnopompic states -- the hallucinations that arrive at waking rather than at sleep -- warmth and dissolution happen simultaneously. The body feels present but the edges of it keep failing, the figure folding gently back into whatever surrounds it. This painting records that specific tenderness of coming undone.
