Insect is an original oil painting on canvas, 100 x 70 cm, by London artist Ryan Louder, painted on a thin PVC canvas that is nearly white and unbelievably strong.
The canvas is new to me, extremely strong and thin, and it takes the paint in a way cloth never does. I keep coming back to it. This insect arrived the way things always do here, out of the marks, and once it was there it refused to be anything else. It sits on the pale ground glowing warm against all that white, a small thing made enormous by how much attention it gets. Insects were here long before us and they will be here long after, so it feels right that this canvas will last forever. It comes rolled and a framer can attach it to a board or stretch it onto bars.
Painted in my London studio. Carefully packaged and dispatched with a tracked courier. Any questions, just ask.
