Original oil painting on canvas by London artist Ryan Louder, painted in 2024. At the centre of the composition, a solitary luminous figure walks forward through an arching, cavernous passage where shadowy faces and spectral watchers emerge from layers of deep ochre, raw umber, and cool blue paintwork. High above, a watchful eye is woven directly into the upper vault, creating a powerful, dreamlike narrative of transition and inner resolve.
Painted in rich, artist-grade oil on stretched canvas. The surface carries visible brushwork, textured layers, and subtle tonal shifts that reveal hidden shapes as the light in the room changes throughout the day.
The composition draws directly from Ryan's neurological experience with narcolepsy and REM intrusion, where dream imagery surfaces during conscious waking life. Clinically confirmed at Guy's Hospital in London, these intense visual phenomena are translated directly onto the canvas without preliminary sketches or digital planning.
Available as the original one-of-a-kind oil painting on canvas, or as an open-edition A3 fine art print on heavy museum-grade archival paper. The original canvas is carefully packed and dispatched fully insured directly from Ryan's London studio.
