Past Present and Future is a large original oil painting on canvas, 74 by 100 cm (29 by 39 inches). I painted it live at my shop in Greenwich Market, working on it in front of anyone who stopped to watch.
These are the same scene as it sits in my mind at different times. Past, present, future. I want to leave the meaning for the collector to interpret — people find their own order in it, and no two read it the same way.
Size and presentation Painted in oil on canvas in 2024. It comes as rolled canvas, ready for a framer to stretch onto a backboard when framed.
About the artist I'm a London-based painter. My work is a direct record of REM intrusion — dream imagery that arrives while I'm awake — which is documented in my NHS medical records. The paintings hold that state: layered, vivid, half-waking, the boundary between the dream world and the waking one worn thin.
