Tornado by Ryan Louder

Original oil painting on canvas by London artist Ryan Louder, painted in 2025. An atmospheric landscape where a quiet country path runs between low fencing and muted green fields, terminating at a towering column of brilliant white-blue light. Equal parts vortex, meteorological force, and radiant human silhouette, the central energy form blurs into the overcast sky with vibrant, expressive brushwork.

Created using artist-grade oil paint on stretched canvas, featuring dynamic textural impasto and energetic mark-making. The high-contrast palette of cool electric blues against earthy umbers and soft greys creates an intense sense of movement and sudden revelation.

The vision stems directly from Ryan's experience living with narcolepsy and daytime REM intrusion, clinically documented at Guy's Hospital, London. Dream states and waking perception overlap, resulting in sudden visions of self-luminous phenomena captured straight onto canvas without preliminary drawings.

Offered as the original one-of-one oil painting on canvas, as well as an archival A3 fine art print produced on heavyweight museum-grade paper. The original painting is expertly packed and shipped fully insured from Ryan's London studio.
